This album has a certain sad, nostalgic quality because it marks the last time that Ralph and his sister Barbara would ever play together. Ralph died in December 2000 several months after the album was released. Ralph was Barbara's idol and his death had a strong effect on her, but she continued performing until she was forced to quit because of health considerations in May 2011.One other thing: your revue does not accurately reflect the recorded performances. In the solos. Ralph plays the solos on tracks 4-Fine and Dandy; track 7- Farewell Blues; and track 11- Sposin. Barbara solos on track 5- I want a little girl; track 8-Brother Can You Spare a Dime and track 12-Don't Let The Sun Catch You Cryin. They both play together on the other tracks. As far as I know, they were the only brother-sister jazz duo piano team where both brother and sister played the same instrument. They had both played together in concerts around the world: Germany, Switzerland and Japan to very enthusiastic audiences."
