First album I have ever purchased with Andre Rieu as the performing artist. I love it! Wish for more music and disc ends before you are ready because it is so enjoyable. Rieu does not upstage or overpower other instruments. He blends and plays the part and takes lead at appropriate times. The addition of vocal pieces with other artist break up the disc content to avoid making the listener tired of just one type of sound enviorment throughout the listening experience. The songs were also a good collection of more than the commonly found pieces on a Christmas album. There were some that were from other countries that were very pleasant and a good change from Drummer Boy or the simple commercial old stand-bys so often heard during the Christmas Season.In short, this is an excellent album collection to put on the system and pull a chair up to the fire in the hearth for remembering or just relaxing.
