This work is simply amazing, and the product supports the work well too. If you know enough to read the reviews at all, just buy it.This material is some of SW's best work ever. The release most of this material comes from, The Raven that Refused to Sing, is work that was great at first listen, and continues to grow on me. I consider it the best album of the year nearly over. But this one may take its place. In full disclosure, I also saw this show live, and I can say this release is true to the experience. The band is the best. While it would be difficult to best Porcupine Tree, this line up rivals for sure. Composed of 2/3 of The Aristocrats (another great band), Beggs from pick-your-favorite band, and a couple jazz greats, they play the material better than anyone could, making it live in a meaningful way.The production is fantastic as well, as we all expect from SW. In fact, the live material sounds better than the sound over the PA at the show I saw, which I guess is no surprise. If only SW could run the board at his own shows too. Or maybe just bring Alan Parsons along next time.I even like the packaging. Most of the KSCOPE releases for SW and his bands have above average quality packaging, and this is no exception. They seem to understand that the product has value beyond the download, and in this case having the actual product is far more satisfying than a download could ever be.If you like SW or any of his projects, especially if you like Raven, then this release is a must to own as well.
