Great concept, amazing programming interface. Such potential, but lacking basic features. Also from my understanding, the Zipamini was due for firmware update many months ago, but it has never come out, this comes with beta firmware .9xxxxxxxx (Sorry I consider anything less than 1.x beta.My first 24 hours:I was really excited to get this, since having used Vera for years and their SLOW updates to add new stuff, (IFTTT), and the plain ugly interface. So the most important thing I needed to control was my Schlage lock. It paired to the Z-wave network easy enough, actually better than the Vera which took 3 times. Note I did move the Zipamini closer to the front door. Which in itself was a chore, since I couldn't find any way to turn on Wifi and configure it via the web interface. So I hooked up the box via HDMI to my monitor, and was able to setup wifi with just a mouse plugged in. (Logitech Wireless mouse did not work, so I had to use standard wired). Underneath it all, this device runs Android. So for the most part all is going well, after fiddling around for a bit in the very nice rules creator I added a simple rule to detect if the front door was unlocked, if so to wait 5 minutes and lock the door. I had a similar scene on Vera and it worked very well. The rule seems to work for a few hours, now just stopped working, I have recreated the rule, rebooted, sync'ed the rules (must do every time, a real pain) - and this is just broken this morning. The second reason I bought the Zipamini was it's basic support of IFTTT, I even watched a video on creating rules for IFTTT, the problem is their video doesn't tell you that you must first have already created the Virtual HTTP device. I had to google around and find the "article" on their support page that said you needed to create this. So naturally I opened a ticket before finding this info out, so once I figured it out, I replied to my ticket with more questions about my Schlage lock, and firmware version. I get an email telling me to view videos, and read documents, and the ticket was closed.Update: 1-2-2017: So today I thought I would give it another go, but I kept getting kicked out of the web-portal required to setup and change settings. (There is NO local) access via web to this box. So looks like I will be sticking to the Vera 3.So the next question I contacted support about, was viewing user codes already in the lock. I had searched their forums on this topic, and other people were having the same issue. I have not heard back on this issue. This device is also advertised as a streaming device, where you can use the android side of the device, hooked to a TV and stream media. This function is not available. I really don't care about this, but for those of you who might. There are no methods to add apps to the device, it's a bare bones Android OS - with the Zipabox program installed as a service. Finally the Imperihome mobile app does not support the Zipamini - I Emailed Imperihome support, and will see if they update.I really do want to like this device, but it's ability to even run one rule over night is not comforting.Update 2: I am not even able to manually control the lock now. The Zipamini see's when we manually lock and unlock the device. The rule to auto-lock it runs, as I get emails telling me it ran, but the lock never locks.I've tried rebooting, repairing the Lock, doing a factory reset of the Zipamini (which gave me an error). Nothing I do at this point will get this thing working. Can't control from the mobile app.
