I have the large pendant over my dining room table and I wanted something for my kitchen island. They were very easy to assemble and I like the soft light they give off. I was a little disappointed that the metal (brushed steel) was not the same as the dining room (rubbed bronze) but got over that one. The one thing I did notice more on the small pendants than the large was that the shade has spots where the cork is missing. I believe it is a feature and not a defect. Frankly, when I saw this I looked closely at the large pendant and it was the same. And I had not pointed it out to my husband, he would not have noticed. Overall, I like them a lot!Very cute over our sink. Love the ability to adjust the length prior to hanging. Does throw an orangish glow at night when lit. There were so pretty. I was disappointed that once installed we found that the cork must have been different thickness on the 2 we bought because one light looked lighter and thr other was quite a bit darker. It looked like we had 2 different watt light bulbs in them.wound up returning themPurchased 3 of these contemporary yet slightly rustic mini pendants for the kitchen peninsula/bar that looks into the living room. They are so different from anything else I had found and I like the look very much! I love the cork shades and as luck would have it, even tho cork is a natural material and therefore, likely to have quite a few variances, the color and hue of all three shades were a "match" to each other. They appear well made, and when they are installed I'll provide feedback from my constractor's experience with the installation. Price seemed quite reasonable--I spent weeks and weeks searching for a mini pendant with just the right look and fit for our remodeled home, that would not lock us into a specific style and would not become outdated.Love the look and quality of the lights, we did purchase these as a "used" item for a discount but all was packaged as new. Note: the lights came with a brushed metal finish, we spray painted black. We've really enjoyed these fixtures (3), although we would have preferred a mounting solution to accommodate existing chase. Due to the question about the lamps showing from below, the picture taken is truly almost under the fixture. Of course, if one is directly under the 'bulletin mini... you'll see the bulbs because there's no diffuser (like the large dining light shown). Hope the pictures help some... it was difficult with an inferior camera... the fixtures are not STARK looking as the pic suggests... in other words there's plenty of light emitting from the shade itself so you have good ambient lighting in addition to the up and down lighting.Well, I really love these lights, they go well with my oak trim and bamboo shades. Easy to put together, good instructions, nice quality. Only problem I have is diameter of the base where they mount to ceiling is too small for the holes in my ceiling where my spot lamps were. If I could find a chrome trim piece to bridge the gap, they would be perfect. If anyone knows where I could find one, let me know!pendant light is good quality. Looks more expensive than it is. Real cork wrap around looks nice when light is off/on. Hook up is easy and versatile because of multiple choices for screws. Installed mine on vaulted ceiling , the top connector hinges to create the angle you need.I love this light fixture. The soft light it gives off is perfect for my space. No complaints!
