Kathleen is a past client of mine. In fact, I flew out to Paris to meet her, Lief, and the team in early 2019. I'd briefly heard how they'd live in Ireland in a home called Lahardan House. So when I found out she'd published a book about her experiences there, I bought it and read it immediately. This travel and business memoir is engaging from the very first chapter -- and even more interesting to me since I've done contract work for Agora and read many of Bill Bonner's books over the last 20 years.Everything from Kathy's first marriage, to how she met Lief, to the events that prompted their move to Ireland are all fascinating. And then the struggles they experience as they try to get started in a new country are full of humorous, endearing, and strange moments. (Rising damp? Dead bats coming out the faucet??)This book is not without its minor and major dramas. In fact, the biggest conflict happens near the end of the book, and I was worried there would not be enough pages to resolve it. But there is some resolution, possibly even a teaser for a follow-up book.Overall, a highly readable and enjoyable memoir. Perfect for anybody who's ever had an interest in Ireland or becoming an expat.
